"Let's Get It Started"

Our theme for the 2011 retreat was, "Let's Get It Started" and our Key Note speaker was Prudence LaBeach Pollard., Phd. Although we were disappointed that we were unable to have our annual retreat this year due to a last minute oil tanker spill above Camp Cedar Falls that threatened the water supply, God gave us a one day seminar at the Diamond Bar Holiday Inn and turned it into an incredible blessing for all who were involved. Our wait staff were so impressed by what they saw and heard that they asked for more information and are now in Bible studies.

The 2012 retreat is titled "Lay Aside Every Weight" and we hope to see you all there.

Dr. Pollard has a new book on the Market I hope you will enjoy

West Covina Hills Women's Ministries Women's Day February 25, 2012 was a huge success. The Theme for the day was: Are You Ready For Jesus To Come? Pastor Courtney Ray was  the guest speaker for the 11:00 AM service. She was very animated and interesting. I liked her story about the dog with a big juicy bone that was crossing a stream and saw another dog with a bone in the water below. The dog wanted the other dog's bone and dropped his to grab the other bone and lost them both because the other dog was merely his own reflection. She said the moral of the story was to be happy with your own bone. We also had a women's chorus, (Nancy Duran-Willie, Marilyn Villiers, Jacqui Abejar, Sarah Nwosu, Jenne Walker, Betty Alamillo & Victoria De La Paz, pictured above)
